Game Running Team

  • A man with a beard and short hair, wearing a black cape and a red and black backpack, standing in front of a wooden forest background.

    Justin - Lead Game Runner

Justin Cason is a husband, father, pastor, LARPer, and member of Nartum-Kaal. He has been LARPing since 2021, and has been running large scale events for the last 14 years of his professional life. He enjoys crafting, playing disc golf and videogames, and spending time with his family. He does not like long walks on the beach because he dislikes sand.

  • A person dressed in medieval-style clothing standing outdoors near a body of water on the left, and a fantasy creature with armor and a skull-like face on the right.

    Brandon - Game Running Team

A long-time wanderer of imagined realms, Brandon D. has spent over twelve years crossing battlefields, forging alliances, and swinging foam and steel with equal enthusiasm. A combat lover through and through, he brings the same determination to the field that he does to real life—where he’s a devoted father of four and has spent twenty years adventuring side-by-side with his spouse.

Brandon’s passion for the game he helps run is unmistakable; he pours years of experience, leadership, and heart into every story told and every field fought upon. Whether he’s helping shape the world behind the scenes or stepping into the fray with a grin and a war cry, Brandon is driven by the same love of play that started his journey over a decade ago.

In-game, Brandon channels that energy into a character forged by grit and loyalty—someone who stands firm when the fighting grows desperate and who believes that honor is earned, not given. On the field, he’s known for his fierce combat style and unshakeable presence; off the field, for his kindness, humor, and steady willingness to lift up the players around him.

Brandon is, in every sense, the kind of warrior-leader any clan would be lucky to have—both in the world of Reckoning and in the family he’s built outside

Joshua - Game running team/Bandit Lead

Howdy. My name is Josh, and I’ve been doing battle games and combat sims like Airsoft and Jugger, and took the plunge into LARP a couple years ago. Reckoning was my second game ever, and I’ve been a part of the Community since Reckoning 1! In game I play Theseus Connington in the Rivlans, I founded the Jaegers guild, and currently serving in game as Arishok the Bandit King, leader of the Unbound. I’ll be seeing you all real soon

  • A man with glasses and dark hair, dressed in a fantasy or medieval costume, carrying a large sword on his shoulder, outdoors with trees and tents in the background.

    Kent - Game Running Team

Raised in the Midwest, I have been LARPing for a little more than five years, but I have been playing and running role-playing games since as far back as 2006. My LARP journey began when I was invited to a friend’s private home LARP, and I have been invested in the hobby ever since—eventually assisting him in running those events, albeit in a minor capacity. I have a deep love for role-playing, worldbuilding, and collaborative storytelling.

I have been involved in the Reckoning LARP since its inception in 2021 and have been assisting with events since 2022.

In game, I play Volter O’Donovan, who was last seen defending Hillshire from the rising hordes of the undead.

  • Juliana - Game Running Team

    Character Yara al-Abadi

Hiya! I’m Jay and play Yara in game. LARPing was always something I aspired to do but had spent most of my life creating worlds and rolling dice instead. I have always been the forever DM when I dreamed of playing. Guess that’s what happens when you are a theater kid who grew into a writer. I took the leap and attended my first LARP: Reckoning 2024 and was blown away! I couldn’t wait for the next one to once more escape the day to day. Reckoning 2025 really drowned out the world and allowed me to really escape and play a character. In game, Yara runs Dorotakir the traveling Inn! She takes pride in serving up the best peanut butter jellies in the March while spinning stories about that time she totally beat an orc in a one-on-one fight and uses his skin as an oven mitt. Though she seems naive and a little dense she can be sneaky and more than a little mischievous, much like the gnomes she aims to capture. Come play a game with her and try your luck with a throw of the dice, but be warned… Yara made the dice.

    Ruby - Game Running Team

    Character: Armori - Hadrian

Hi my name is Ruby! I am a traveler, unfortunately not one of time, and have been to over 13 countries and half the states in the U.S. As a huge fan of D&D, I have crafted several D&D campaigns and short stories, but writing the stories wasn’t enough. I wanted to live them. I started going to Renfaire’s but it still wasn’t enough. Through the combined love of travel, story, and dress up, I decided to become a character myself and embarked on the adventure of joining The March. Amori can be found wandering the land studying magic and the undead. She is cold and ruthless with a talent for striking business deals, however shady they may be. But, don’t drink the kool-aid! She’s a character, I’m not really a jerk! I do my best to help the community that I love hoping to leave the place better than how I found it.

Jen - On Site Media Coordinator

The On Site Media Coordinator ensures smooth, organized coverage of all major activities during the event. This role manages on-site logistics for photographers, videographers, and media contractors while never influencing or dictating their artistic style.

Jen/Makeera is the creative force behind GamerGurl Photography, blending dark-and-moody artistry with a deep love of fantasy, cosplay, and immersive storytelling. Since 2023, she has been a core part of Reckoning LARP, capturing the heart, grit, and magic of the community. Whether photographing epic battles, intimate weddings, or cinematic portraits, Jen brings people’s inner legends to life through imagery that feels powerful, emotional, and unforgettable.

  • A young man with glasses, a beard, and blonde hair, smiling outdoors with autumn trees in the background.

    Scottie - Security and Logistics

Scottie is brand new to larp, but has been working with Justin for several years. He is focusing on the Security and Logistics elements of the game behind the scenes. He has no idea what to expect, but has been significantly hyped up by Justin in this role.

  • Drew - Emergency Services Liaison
