The Suzak-mar
There is deep mystery that surrounds the people from the sands.
The people now known as the Suzak-Mar are the last survivors of the continent of LaShar, far to the east. Their grand civilizations boasted bustling metropolises, great feats of engineering and magic, and tranquil villages. Plague, unprecedented natural disasters, evolving monsters, and an abundance of other curses forced them to seek refuge in the last bastion, Tengo. The Council of Viziers led the survivors, following the brightest star Suzak, across a newly formed land-bridge. As they arrived in the new land, a great storm called The Weeping washed the bridge away, and any hope of returning home.
Now, in The March, surrounded by unfamiliar landscapes and challenges, the Suzak-Mar draw on their collective strength and memories. They seek to rebuild and rise anew, their spirit undeterred by the sorrows of the past.

I am Zach. I am new to LARP, although I have done large-scale airsoft and paintball events. I spend almost all year outside and in all kinds of weather and regions, so you may see me ignoring rain once it begins to pour.
I am Zapiz. I was part of one of the few groups that volunteered to stay behind to protect the mass exodus of the Suzak-Mar people crossing the temporary land bridge when the continent of La-Shar fell to cataclysm. After what felt like weeks of endless fighting to hold a route open for civilians and injured to cross, the pathway was starting to collapse. My troupe chose me to carry on the name and forced me onto a travois that was carried across the land bridge as they held off the last wave of the nightmares of the cataclysm as the land bridge disappeared into the sea behind me as I was taken from those who had sworn to lay down their existence for the people to have a second chance at life.
Once on the other side of the land bridge now named the broken strait we found the new lands of the East coast of the March. None of these lands resembled our homeland, and what land we could occupy was stricken with famine and drought. With our knowledge we were able to rebuild and thrive there.
I am one of the few Suzak-Mar that is truly nomadic. I own and manage a travelling market that explores the March and obtains items of value to bring to the annual call of the four cultures of the March. To share knowledge and trade between all cultures(prices may vary).
I also help with a researcher group that is gathering lost information on the Suzak-Mar people, our lost cousins. This will let the heritage of La-Shar live on, from the jungles and deserts, to the mangroves and mountains and through the plains. There are too many varieties of the Suzak-Mar people to just let disappear as a whisper in the wind, but to make the history alive and well for all to remember.
All of us have a bit of sand in our boots from how La-Shar fell, but the sand does not define us.
